Finding out you are pregnant is one of the most exciting times in life. The next 9 months are a roller coaster of emotions. So much excitement and anticipation but also so much preparation to do now! Don’t be overwhelmed with what you think you have to do. Before you just start diving into full “baby prepping” mode, think through what really needs to get done. In my opinion, here are the most important to-dos when preparing for your little one’s arrival.

Prenatal Vitamins

If you haven’t started taking prenatal vitamins yet, start! These are so important. I go into greater detail in this post with prenatals. The importance of them & where you can buy them. These really helped me during my pregnancy, so don’t skip this!

Birthing Classes

This one doesn’t need to be as daunting as it seems. Don’t go overboard with this. You don’t need to know EVERYTHING before you go into labor…in fact, that won’t happen. So don’t overwhelming yourself trying. I talk about what I did for preparing for birth in terms of birthing classes in this post.

Baby Registry

If this is your first baby, you will want to register! This might not be as important for those veteran mommas. But, you first time mommas…enjoy the baby registry process. Have fun with it! I know, this one can seem overwhelming too. So many places to register, to many things to register for, etc. I am hoping to help break this down to make it easier. See my post on baby registries to help you navigate you through this process.

Baby Shower

Now, having a baby shower isn’t necessary of course. Again, if you already have some babies, this one might not be as important. But if this is your first, I would definitely recommend having a baby shower. People love babies…and they love you…so they want to celebrate this new life and YOU, momma!

Pack Your Hospital Bag

One last important task, packing your hospital bag! With this task, you want to make sure you have everything for this important day but you also don’t want to over pack. Hopefully I can help you navigate this as well in my post here.
